Help Marco Collins Kick Cancer !

Marco Collins has spent his life championing bands and people he believes in. Now it's time to activate and support Marco.
Marco Collins is loved and adored by so many. He is a treasured friend, and a relentless champion of bands, people and causes. Anyone who meets Marco instantly falls in love with him. He has a generous spirit, kind heart and has spent his life helping others. Whether it’s donating his time and energy to help support a cause, giving a band their break or his last $10 to someone in need, Marco has been there for so many. And now it’s time to return the favor.
Marco was recently diagnosed with Stage 2C Seminoma Testicular cancer. When Marco underwent surgery it was discovered that his cancer had spread to his abdominal aorta and kidneys. The good news is that he has a kick ass Oncologist who is optimistic that he can beat this. However, he has a rough road ahead. Marco is beginning his 2nd of 4 intense rounds of chemotherapy and is unable to work for the next several months. Chemo has taken a toll on him and his immune system is fragile. He spent 4 days in the hospital due to an infection and was near sepsis.
Marco is a survivor. He fought through a decades long battle with addiction and has now been clean and sober for nearly 2 years. He's back on air at KEXP where he is still championing bands, has exciting creative projects in the works and just before his diagnosis, he was offered a full-time job at a non-profit he truly believes in. Just as life was showering Marco with abundance, he must now put everything on hold. However, Marco has a positive attitude and is determined to beat cancer.
Thanks to Obamacare, Marco has insurance but the financial burden of trying to cover his basic necessities while undergoing chemo is overwhelming. We are setting a modest Gofundme goal at $15,000 to cover out of pocket medical expenses, transportation and basic necessities for the next 6 months while he can’t work. Knowing that his medical bills and essentials are covered will allow him to focus on healing.
Please Join Team Marco and let's surround him with the love and support he needs to overcome this challenge.
With much love and gratitude,
Anne Dederer & Michelle Quisenberry
