Eaton Fire in Altadena: Help Marcos and Tempe Restart
Donation protected
Help Marcos and Tempe rebuild their lives.
Marcos lived in his cherished Altadena home for 10 years with his partner Cynthia. Sadly, she passed away from cancer in 2022. They had lovingly built a home and life there.
As he started to put the pieces of his life back together, he met his neighbor Tempe while they were both walking their dogs Leelo and Lulu around the neighborhood. They were both surprised to find love in the midst of grief. On Christmas Day, Marcos and Tempe became engaged and were looking forward to starting their lives together in his sweet home and giving it new life and love.
In the early morning of Wednesday, January 8, Marcos lost everything in the Eaton Canyon Fire. Since there were only a few minutes to evacuate before seeing flames behind the house, they grabbed their dogs and quickly packed a few essentials. Marcos lost his camera gear and equipment for his work as a cinematographer and photographer, irreplaceable family heirlooms and photos of Cynthia and her keepsakes.
As if the loss isn't enough, State Farm insurance recently canceled their wildfire insurance without notice. There is no cushion to fall back on. Any help is literally life-changing.
Marcos and Tempe share a deep love for their community in Altadena and are hoping to return and rebuild their lives with their beloved neighbors soon.
