Help Marcus Keep FIGHTING Cancer!!

Our full-of-life, gregarious, kind, & super talented friend Marcus “Big Daddy” McQuade has been in a battle for his life since late 2017 against stage 4 Colon Cancer that spread to his liver. Marcus has fought incredibly hard through the many treatments including chemo, radiation, major surgeries, & countless doctors visits for bloodwork, scans, & all manner of other medical procedures. He’s done all of this with grace, composure, & a positive attitude that is truly inspiring!

Recently, however, he’s been faced with his biggest challenge yet - the cancer continues to threaten him so yet another round of chemo and radiation were supposed to take place on May 3th. In the standard pre-chemo bloodwork, a problem was discovered with his liver due to the many previous treatments to rid him of the cancer. This issue with his liver was a known, possible side effect but means that he is unable to proceed with this round of chemo and is down to one last medication as his lifeline. This medication on its own has about a 15% chance of doing what he needs it to do and keep him with us. He’s started the treatment and, while there are initial positive signs, the road is long and challenging. This means Marcus is unable to work while he receives the treatments every other week due to the side effects.

Marcus continues to fight and now it’s time for us to rally behind him by helping to ease the financial stress of being unable to work but needing to tackle living & medical expenses above and beyond insurance coverage.
