Help Margaret Kick Cancer’s Ass
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Dave Zeglen, and last spring, my wife and best friend Margaret was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer. Margaret is the kindest and most supportive person I’ve ever known. She has spent her life tirelessly helping others, such as assisting asylum-seekers, mentoring low-income and underprivileged students, and teaching child refugees.
We’ve been incredibly grateful to our friends, family, and colleagues for providing us with food, rides, care packages, and emotional support over the past several months. It has helped us get through this challenging period of our lives. Margaret is very appreciative to have so many people love and support her.
Unfortunately, Margaret recently contracted a severe case of pneumonia due to a weakened immune system from her chemotherapy. She was rushed to the ER and later admitted to the hospital for several days. As Margaret is a grad student and we primarily live off of my income, this ER and hospital visit was a turning point in our ability to financially support her ongoing and future cancer treatment.
Due to the significant costs we’ve incurred from the neoliberal American healthcare system, I have started a GoFundMe and we are asking for help covering our present and future medical debt. These funds will cover her cancer treatment, including chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and hormone therapy, as well as our hospital and ER bills.
Your personal donation would significantly help Margaret by getting the treatment she needs and by alleviating the stress and anxiety of living with medical debt. Even a small amount would make a huge difference in our lives. Please share this GoFundMe widely in your own social circles. Thank you for your support!
With love and gratitude,
Dave & Margaret
