Help Margaret renovate her bathroom

On the 26th December 2021 our world was turned upside down when my extremely fit and healthy mother felt unwell resulting in being taken to hospital via ambulance.

Diagnosed with a clot in her lung was administered blood thinners.

The following day mum started to loose sensation and feeling in her left leg and our nightmare began.

On 28th December mum had lost feeling in both legs and after an urgent MRI she was found to have a bleed on her spine, resulting in emergency surgery.

Unfortunately mum has regained only little feeling from her waist down. She remains in rehabilitation receiving intense treatment. Although her progress is small we are still unsure what the future will hold.

In order for mum to come home she requires renovations to her bathroom, small ramps and modifications to allow access via wheel chair.

Due to mums age she only qualifies for a small subsidy through Paraquad SA, although this is a small help it’s far from going to ease her burden.

I’ve never known such a selfless, kind and caring woman whom her whole life has been there for everyone, it seems only fair it’s her turn to be supported. 

Life has thrown us a curve ball and if you’re able to help in any small way and ease the financial burden we would be so grateful.
