Help Margarita Battle Metastatic Breast Cancer!!!

Our mom Margarita Peréz Ugay is battling metastatic breast cancer… like a champ. It has not been physically easy. She has tried multiple treatments which leave her bedridden and homebound. If you know Margarita she is a creative energy force - always busy, painting, sewing, cooking, hugging, tickling and loving on her family. Treatment makes all these things difficult and nearly impossible - as a result, the Dr’s continue to try to find a treatment plan that is manageable. There is no cure which means her treatment is palliative, at this stage she’s focusing on treatment that gives her the best quality of life possible. Fortunately our dad John is there every step of the way, caring for her, supporting her and loving her. As a family we are cherishing every moment and making as many memories together, whenever possible. Cancer rips through the affected’s life, family and community like a tornado. This is no different for our mom and dad who are both retired and feeling the full burden of this terrible disease, which is compounded by the costs for lifestyle adjustments, medical treatment, doctor appointments, trips to urgent care and the ER. We humbly ask for your love, kindness and support for our beautiful mom and sweet caring dad.
