Help Maria and Beto Navigate Life Without Jose

Update from Maria and Beto:
It has been a little over a week since the passing of my partner and the loving father of our family. During this incredibly difficult time, the love, support, and generosity from family, friends, and even those we haven’t met personally has been a blessing. I want to extend my thank you to everyone who has donated, and to those who are still considering a donation. Your kindness and contributions mean more than words can express and are providing much needed comfort and relief during this time. Thank you all for standing by us and for helping honor the memory Jose Alberto Gallegos. As for me and our son, we will continue to honor Jose Alberto by doing what he loved most - being there for our family, attending practices and games, and spending quality time together, just as he would have wanted. He will always live in our hearts.

It is with a heavy heart and profound sadness that we share that Jose Gallegos, a loving father, partner, and coach, left us on September 23, 2024. To know Jose was to love and respect him. Without fail, Jose greeted everyone with a bright smile and a welcome, "hello - how are you today?" Beyond his gentle kindness was his unwavering and readily apparent love for his longtime partner, Maria, and 7 year old son, Beto. Maria fondly referred to her relationship with Jose as "couple goals." They were true partners, with Jose working hard as a lead landscaper and the sole provider for their family, and Maria running the home, to include ensuring Jose was fashionable on a daily basis. As a father, Jose was doting and attentive, always looking out for Beto's best interests. Jose stepped up to assist in coaching Beto's football teams the last two years, first on the SYFL Hug Hawk Bandits, and most recently on Pop Warner's 8U Reed Raiders. Coach Jose was frequently seen with a water bottle in hand, making sure every player was hydrated and ready to play.
Words can't express the void that Jose's passing leaves. Maria and Beto have a difficult road to navigate without their rock, teammate and father. We're asking for assistance to help alleviate the financial burden that Jose's untimely passing brings, including funeral expenses, bills, and Beto's care, as Maria financially adjusts to the life of a single mother. We're so thankful for your consideration, donation and shares.
With gratitude.
