Help Maria and Phil Rebuild Their Life

My name is Danielle Slaff, I am the granddaughter of Maria and Phil. I am organizing the gofundme on behalf of my grandparents as they are in the hospital and going through so much right now. All the money will go directly to them through my Uncle, Jimmy Slaff, who will be taking them in after they are released and helping them handle everything. 

Maria and Phil have lived in the city of Santee for over 30 years. They are retired and enjoy spending time with their family and friends in their community of Santee. They both care deeply about family and are the type of people whose door is always open. If you know Maria, you know that everyone is family. On October 11th, 2021 a plane crashed into their house, tragically destroying their family home. Not only did they lose all of their earthly possessions, they also lost their beloved dog Roxie. To our knowledge the pilot and or passenger and a UPS driver did not survive the crash. Our condolences for their families and loved ones. Thank you to the brave neighbors who rushed to help, Maria and Phil were lucky to have been pulled from their home before it completely burned down. They are currently recovering from 3rd and 2nd degree burns at the hospital. We would appreciate any donations to help them rebuild their lives in their golden years.
