Help Maria Arroyo Honor Manny's Memory

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Lydia Rios Perez and on behalf of the Arroyo family, we would like to thank you for allowing the family to share about their beloved Manny. Manny was called home on May 17th, 2024.

Manuel "Manny" Arroyo was born on December 6th, 1969, and was diagnosed with autism at an early age. He was very healthy and led a happy life under the care of his late father and mother. Unfortunately, after the passing of his father in November 2020, Manny was moved to a board and care home. While in the home, Manny continued to enjoy listening to his favorite singers, Selena and Vicente Fernandez. Manny would often ask his little sister Maria for his all-time favorite song, The Itsy-Bitsy Spider.

Manny's health began to decline in the past year after he broke his hip and required hip replacement surgery. After his hip surgery, he began to have complications with his intestine which led to surgery, concluding with an ileostomy. Manny continued to have complications after his intestine was removed and after 5 surgeries in a span of 10 months, his body was beginning to deteriorate. Sadly, in a short period of time, Manny was no longer able to eat and enjoy food as he once did.

Despite the pain he was enduring, Manny still smiled and was amused by those who paid him a visit in the hospital. It was admirable to see Manny's cheerful spirit and playful nature lighten the heaviness of his reality as his health was not improving. It was so sweet to witness his smile as he played and showed affection to his favorite blue plush doll, "Bluey". Although Manny's smile and childlike spirit will be missed, we rest assured that Manny is now in the presence of his creator. Thank you, Lord, for the times you allowed Manny to share his smiles and life with his family.

The intent for this Gofundme is to help with his sister Maria Arroyo with the costs of his passing. Manny is survived by his sister Maria and Veronica Arroyo. We greatly appreciate your giving hearts.
