UPDATE:
I want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has contributed to and shared this fundraiser. Your generosity has been truly overwhelming, and we are thrilled to announce that we have reached our initial goal of $10,000. In light of the incredible support we’ve received, we’ve decided to raise our goal to $25,000 to better assist Maria during this challenging time.
I want to take a moment to provide an update on Maria’s situation. She is currently staying with her mother in Pasadena, who, by the grace of God, was fortunate enough to have her home remain untouched by the fires. This has provided Maria with a temporary refuge, and we are immensely thankful that she has a safe place to stay while she navigates the aftermath of this devastating event.
As you can imagine, the impact of the Altadena Eaton Fire has been profound. Maria lost everything she owned in the flames, and the road to recovery is just beginning. We are utilizing the funds raised to assist her with essential supplies
Once again, thank you so much for your support during this difficult time. Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a significant difference in Maria’s journey toward rebuilding her life. Your kindness and compassion are truly appreciated.

Dear Friends and Community,
My name is Ariel and I am Maria’s Daughter in Law. On Wednesday morning, tragedy struck when our beloved Maria lost everything she owns in the devastating Eaton fire. A long-time resident of the Santa Ynez Valley, Maria has dedicated her life to nurturing and educating children as a teacher at Zaca Preschool and Jonata School. Her warmth and kindness have touched countless lives in our community.
Now, as she faces an unimaginable loss, we are reaching out for your support. Maria's home in Altadena has been reduced to ashes, leaving her with nothing but the clothes on her back. Despite this heart-wrenching situation, Maria remains resilient and hopeful for a brighter future.
We are setting up this GoFundMe to help her rebuild her life from the ground up. Your contributions will go directly towards housing, clothing, and essential needs as she navigates this difficult time. Every dollar counts, and your generosity can make a significant difference in her recovery journey.
Please consider donating and sharing this campaign with your network. Together, we can help Maria find hope and rebuild her life after this tragic event. Thank you for your kindness and support.
With gratitude,
Ariel Jimenez
