Spende geschützt
We need Heroes like YOU to help Maria live a normal life.
Hello, my name is Alina and I am raising money for my beautiful daughter Maria age 5 years.
We discovered that Maria can do a Stem Cell therapy at a clinic in Ukraine ,EMCELL Clinic, this treatment will help Maria to improve speech, her motor skills, movement, mobility and balance , stem cell therapy is used to directly improve the regenerative abilities of an injured brain, opening new opportunities in treating cerebral palsy, she could get a chance for a better life but unfortunately we do not have the financial power to support the costs of this treatment and the therapies that needs to be done after the treatment, over 90% of the persons that did the stem cell treatment have shown improvements and gives us hope that she can get better.
Here is the short story of Maria:
Maria was born in London at Newham Hospital on the 3rd of July 2016 at 35 weeks of gestation because there was concern about poor fetal growth and therefore labor was induced, she was born with 2,680g but she didn't need admission to special care baby unit, everything was perfect, she was perfect and the doctors told us that she is perfectly healthy and the next day we were home with our baby girl.
We (the parents) started to have some concerns when Maria was around 6 months she seemed floppy and not being able to sit on her bottom properly ,we went to the doctors but they have past us from one another telling us that she is healthy and that every child is different and to have patience ,she stay on her bottom around 9-10 months, she crawled at 13 to 14 months and after 15 months stood with support on her feet ,never alone on her feet she didn't had the needed balance to do it herself.
At the age of 1 and half year we decided to go to the pediatrician and beg that she is not ok and she needs help and finally we received a referral to do for her an MRI SCAN at Basildon hospital and to see if she has any neurological problems the exact date is 29th of june 2018. The Radiology report from the MRI was done at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London WC1N3JH.
The report showed us our concern and findings are corpus callosum dysgenesis and the MRI showed changes with periventricular leukomalacia.
Maria has a diagnosis of spastic cerebral palsy which affects both of her hand and legs ,global developmental delay, speech and language delays and difficulties.
Maria requires adult supervision at all times, she needs help with dressing and undressing.
Maria is using a wheelchair and a frame too be able to move around at school and home ,just recently started to do independent steps by herself without support from and adult or equipment but she still does not have the right position and balance in walking she needs special lycra suit and splints to straighten her legs .
We(the parents) went with her privately to Vojta therapy, Bobath centre in Watford, private physiotherapist visiting at homes and work with her, private Speech and language therapist and to the ones provided by the NHS, she needs exercises and working with her every day which we do at home how the therapists thought us.
This is her short story but getting appointments and the help needed is still a struggle and many months of waiting for an appointment and the needed help.
Summary;
Maria has a diagnosis of CEREBRAL PALSY with periventricular leukomalacia on her MRI brain scan at age of 23 months.
That's why, Maria is delayed in all domains of development, she has bilateral hypertonia affecting her legs more than arms. Her muscle tone is mostly seen in her hands and feet affecting selectivity of movement in her hands and stability in standing and stepping.
So Maria, can't speak Properly, walk normal, play or do any normal activities as normal kids do.
For her to live a normal life we need You to help her raise the money for medical treatments that will take place at Emcell Clinic. Every penny, every share for us will mean everything.
Many thanks to our heroes.
God bless you all!
