Help Mariah Rebuild After Fire Loss

Donation protected
My best friend Mariah Lanphar and her great aunt, whom she was living with in the Pacific Palisades, evacuated their home on January 7th at noon after hearing of fires spreading across nearby neighborhoods. By 7 PM, their home and everything around it had been burned to ashes.

The Palisades was not just a home, but also the place where her mother grew up, her young adult life was beginning, and where she had moved to become a full-time caretaker for her great aunt. There will be a lot to navigate in these coming days, but let's help her know she isn't alone.

Mariah has done a lot of good in her life, a few of many include being a leader in communities and studying Public Health at the University of Washington, working as a case manager for women with HIV/AIDS in San Francisco, and moving to the Palisades to support her family and look after her great aunt.

This fundraiser will help her feel supported through all her and her family’s losses and remind her of the community she has around her. Every donation makes a difference. Thank you for your generosity & love❤️

This fund is being organized by myself, Janelle Kim, Mariah’s close friend. All of the donations will go directly Mariah as she recovers from this loss. While money can’t replace photos, heirlooms, and keepsakes, the hope is that these funds can help Mariah rebuild her life - so she can buy food, clothes, and any other replaceable items to have some sense of security.
