Help Mariah's Family Rebuild After Fire

Hi everyone, my name is Mariah. THIS was my apartment. I have four children, two dogs, and THIS was our home. I raised and grew my family here since 2017. I don’t know where to begin with this. All I know is I want to GIVE THANKS!!!! The outpouring of love and donations has been overwhelming!! The community has really been a godsend making sure my kids and I have what we need! Give thanks to the first responders who came and helped keep everyone safe and helped get everyone and their pets out! Give thanks to the fire fighters who went in and gave it all they got to make sure the electrical fire was out! Give thanks to my neighbor and owner of Tiverton Tots for being the Angel that she is, the love the donations the friendship!!!! Give thanks to my mom for helping me keep my head on straight through this unimaginable time and help me get all my ducks in a row! Give thanks to the Red Cross for giving us some funds for a couple nights in a hotel!! Give thanks to myself for being smart enough to have even a morsel of renters insurance! Glory and praises to God for everything! I truly believe everything happens for a reason and I learned last night that the power of love is real! There really is a whole army of angels out here and who knows maybe I needed this wake up call to solidify my faith in the Most High. I’m so grateful I acted fast and extinguished what I could. I’m so glad I was able to dial 911 while simultaneously extinguishing the fire and then working vigorously to get my kids and dogs out and alert the neighbors. Im so glad that when I opened the door to get everyone out the first responders were there ready to go help save the folks upstairs. Like, I’m just grateful that everything happened the way it did and no one lost their lives and from what I’m told there may be a possibility that me and my family can get back in the apartment ***3-6months from now*** if they can deem it liveable again after repairs. That would be awesome in this economy, right?! But unfortunately I do not have enough funds and don’t make enough to cover 3-6 months in a hotel. We’re currently staying in a hotel through my insurance. We’ve got 30 days and then it’s up to me. I have a list of resources and phone numbers to call for necessities and help, I called 211. Im picking up some clothes donations tomorrow and from the looks of it all of Gods warriors are putting together more stuff ♥️♥️♥️ you guys are amazing!!! I honestly thought I would only experience this type of love and support when I’m dead. When I say God is Good, man. I’ll tell you. I’ve been saying I’m going back to church “but I work on Sundays”, well there’s nomore “buts”, I’m going to give my thanks and praises! I’m really only concerned with being able to keep a roof over my family’s head while we figure out

1)whether we will be able to go back to the apartment in 3-6 months time

2)whether or not I’ll have better luck finding an apartment in the same area that’s affordable for a single mother AND allows my two dogs.

3)whether or not I’ll have to put my dogs in a boarding house or temporary housing situation if I can find something affordable.

and honestly I know everything is gonna work out. I started this GoFundMe ONLY bc it’s been mentioned that I should. It’s not that I’m prideful, I’m just used to handling situations alone and not feeling I have the space to ask for help so I always just pulled up my big girl panties, ate my spinach, and tackled my problems alone, head on. I clearly cannot handle this alone. Although I’m very calm about it all, I’m very much in shock. I absolutely need help and I’m not ashamed to ask for it. My family NEEDS stability. I homeschool my 14 year old daughter and 2 year old son. My five year old son is only in kindergarten and my “threenager” is in head start. I just registered my 5 year old for flag football starting in spring. As a mom, I just want to keep/maintain stability for my babies & not have to rehome or put my dogs in a shelter if it can all be avoided.

Anything helps!!! And I mean ANYTHING! I REALLY appreciate all of you!!! I still can’t believe just HOW MANY ANGELS THERE ARE IN MY LIFE and that I know (&don’t know!!!) THAT I HAD NO IDEA WERE HERE REALLY DOING GODS WORK!!!! Such an eye opening experience! And as I always say “when one door closes, ANOTHER ONE OPENS!!!! Give thanks!!!!” Glory and praises to The Most High!!!
