Help Mariam's strays find their forever homes

Donation protected
Mariam Shekiladze, a beloved animal rights activist, has saved countless lives in the past 9 years. She has single-handedly neutered over 900 stray animals, putting about 150 of them up for adoption in Georgia and 120 more abroad.

Despite her many superpowers, Mariam has always lacked one skill: asking people for money. Most of these rescue missions have been financed out of her own pocket.

But today, over 40 of our rescues are in foster homes, waiting to be adopted. Mariam urgently needs public support.

With her birthday coming up, we couldn’t think of a better gift than to help her cover the costs of fostering, treating, and neutering these rescues, getting them ready for adoption, and finding their forever homes.

With Mariam’s birthday coming up, we couldn’t think of a better gift than to help her cover the costs of these rescue missions for the next three months. Your gifts will cover expenses needed for neutering and adoption (vaccines, parasite treatment, and food).

Learn more about Mariam’s work at ZeroStraysGeorgia.org —a website that we built for Mariam on her previous birthday with the hopes of sustaining her mission. With weekly news and transparency reports, our site keeps you updated on every penny we spend!

Meiday is one of Mariam's blind rescues who is still waiting
for her forever home.

Meiday is a lovely little girl who loves to be close.

Josephine lost her back leg in a car accident but now lives
her best dog life in Canada.

Dodde was hit by a car, bitten by a dog and has severe skeletal
damages but loves running wild in the Swedish forest together
with 7-year old Millen who survived 6 years on one of Zugdidis
main roads - with cars, attempts of poisoning and giving birth
to several puppies. Today she is a playful nose work enthusiast!

Wheely was hit by a car, paralysed and left to die a long
painful death before Mariam saved her and gave her all the
love she could before Wheely passed away 3 years later.

Nitsa was found semi-blind and at very late stages of starvation
when Mariam found her. She now lives in Netherlands and
makes regular Eurotrips with her family.

Belka was a shelter dog for 6 years before moving to Sweden.
She has gone from a shy, insecure girl to a the village's best
guard dog and has a strong passion for dog treats.
