Help Marian Battle Cancer for Her Boys

My name is Caitlin and I am fundraising on behalf of my sister, Marian, at 37 year old Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant and mother of two. Earlier this year, Marian received the devastating news that she had Stage 3 Colon Cancer. Marian has had her fair share of medical challenges over the years, but this news was a shock, as it always is. She started a grueling chemo protocol in August of this year that had some unfortunate side effects that made caring for herself difficult and working impossible. Since then, she has been fighting every day and spending as much time as she can with her 2 boys, Liam, 12, and Reyden, 5. She had had some set backs and a few hospital stays, but overall things were going well. As we are heading in to holidays and Reyden's 6th birthday, we were all feeling pretty hopefully about the future when we received even more bad news. Her cancer has spread to her liver which means it is now at Stage 4. She was fortunate enough to get good news today that they think they can try to remove it via surgery, something we were unsure was an option. There are still tests to run to make sure this is possible, but we are all just so grateful to have the opportunity to remove it and move forward in this everyday battle. Our family has done, and will continue to do, our best to support her both emotionally and financially but, as I'm sure you know, these expenses pile up.
