Please help Marian Nally and her family xx
Donation protected
Hi all, myself and Nicola would just like to share the story of our beautiful friend Marian who we had the pleasure of working with for the last 14 years, we are asking for everyone to take a minute to see how much she has fought throughout her diagnosis and determined to beat that dreaded C word but it’s too late and Marian has been given the devastating news that she has terminal cancer.
Marian is 44 years old with 2 children aged 21 & 11 and a beautiful grandson. She has raised them as a single parent and always dedicated her life to them. Marian has been offered more intense chemotherapy, but this is to extend her life expectancy so without it who knows what would happen.
Marian continued to work throughout her illness even during chemo sessions but has now had to take time out and try and make the most of the time she has with her family. I know this is a big ask but we are asking for any donations possible to help Marian and her family throughout this difficult time.
During the start of lockdown Marian started to feel unwell but with the struggles of trying to get a doctor’s appointment during the pandemic and with working and home-schooling she put her symptoms down to IBS. She continued to work throughout so she could provide for the family and battle on even though the pain was getting unbearable. In Dec 2020 she went to A&E but after checking her over she was sent home. Marian went downhill until she could take no more and went back to the doctors, they referred her for further tests which is when she was given the heart-breaking news that she had stage 4 Colorectal Cancer, plus a lesion on her liver.
March, April and May 2021 Marian’s chemotherapy journey began, this was going well, and she was coping and responding amazingly to the treatment. However, in June 2021, Marian suffered a major setback and the devastating realisation that an infection had invaded her body, Marian suffered agonising pain before the emergency hospital admittance.
Marian spent July and August in hospital undergoing major surgery to contain the spread of the infection and to save her life, by September she was home but bedbound, suffering agonising pain, exhaustion and feeling totally disillusioned.
After a long painful recovery in October 2021 Marian began to hope for a brighter future, instead she received the devastating news that the cancer had spread to other organs in her body, Fallopian Tubes\ Lungs.
Marian has endured a total of 10 surgeries to help beat this but there are no further treatments other than more chemotherapy to extend her life expectancy.
Marian is due to start her chemotherapy imminently. The long-term prognosis is grim, throughout all the pain, uncertainty and anguish Marian has remained strong and determined, Marian is an inspirational woman and one we admire for her bravery and positive attitude.
Please can you help in any way, all donations will make a massive difference to this lovely lady and family.
Lots of Love Sylvia and Nicola xx
