Help Marianna to get to the Worlds Championships in Texas

Hello All,

I’m here to ask you to help me get to the World Bench Press Championships in Austin, Texas.

My Gym journey started when I was 18 years old, and to be honest, I was barely able to bench press an empty bar. I only discovered powerlifting when I was 25, so getting to the level where I am and being able to represent Team GB at the World Championships was a long journey, and I feel truly honoured. Even if I couldn't get there, I would still massively value those life lessons about consistency and work ethic that powerlifting has taught me throughout the years.

The championship will run between 21/05/2024 and 01/06/2024, finishing right two days before my 38th birthday (as you can see, it took me a while to get to this level). It feels like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to still be able to compete in the “open” category this close to 40.

I’m already used to spending more time and money on training, coaching, recovery work, and food than others would normally spend, but the extra cost of this travel has been causing me some headaches. I would really appreciate it if you could help me raise funds to get to the World Championships in Texas.

The £1800 funds will cover flight tickets, accommodation and fees associated with the competition.
