Help Marina Fund Visually Impaired Students in Thu Duc, VN

My name is Marina Nguyen and I'm a high school senior at the Prout School in Wakefield, Rhode Island. For my CAS project, I am raising funds for better education, housing, and chance at life for visually impaired students in Thu Duc Village (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam). This fundraiser will support local lay and religious groups like Lovers of the Holy Cross, which help teach young students how to read and write braille, a system of raised dots that can be read with the fingers by people who are blind or who have low vision. This group additionally provides food and housing, which is difficult to do off of the volunteering they do to run the facility known as the Nhat Hong Center for the Blind. In this program, there are over 400 visually impaired kids and individuals ranging from ages 5-30 and a kind group of staff working to take care of them.
