Help Marina support her father’s cancer treatment
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Liana Chitchyan, and I am fundraising for my best friend, Marina Avetisyan, dad’s cancer treatment.
Her dad, Hrachya Avetisyan, has always been a decent man, advocating for making the world a better place. One of the best in Heavy Industry, former professor at Gyumri Polytechnic University, inventor of 2 inventions in Heavy Industry, he had worked all of his life till last August, when he woke up being unable to walk one morning.
After recovering from Covid-19, 4 months later, he developed severe pain in the chest and neck area. The doctors suspected pinched nerves, but as the situation was not improving under treatment, the pain started radiating to the legs, so his doctor ordered MRI and CT scans of thoracic and lumbar-sacral sections. Unfortunately, the imaging detected prostate cancer at Stage 4 with metastases into his spine, impairing his walking ability. It is very heartbreaking to see how incapable and psychologically devastated my friend’s dad is right now…
Marina's mom passed away three years ago, so her dad lives alone and refuses to leave his home – he needs a caregiver and is receiving targeted immunotherapy treatment to prolong his life for as long as we can. As a daughter, Marina feels enormous responsibility to provide financial support for the treatment - she has been paying the medical bills out of her savings made to treat her eyes (Keratoconus of the cornea of both eyes) in Europe. Unfortunately, she has run out of that money, and alone by herself, she struggles to pull him through this challenge. She is facing astronomical medical bills, and her income is just incommensurable to those, so I am asking for your generous donation to help her and her dad in this time of dire need. They need all of our support and prayers to get through this unimaginable time.
Thank you for taking the time to read through this petition and your generous donation.
And God bless you!
