Help Mario Gjuran and his family beat cancer!

Dear friends,

My name is Jordanka and I am reaching out to you today with a very important cause that is close to my heart.

Mario Gjuran, a 9-year-old boy from Skopje, Macedonia, has been diagnosed with anaplastic medulloblastoma, a type of brain cancer. Thankfully, the cancer was caught at an early stage and Mario was immediately able to undergo surgery. The surgery was successful and Mario is now recovering, but his journey to beat cancer is far from over.

Unfortunately, Mario's family is facing financial difficulties in covering the costs of his treatment. Despite taking out a loan, they are still struggling to pay for the surgery and the necessary therapy that Mario needs. The surgery alone costed them approximately CAD$19,000.

The therapy he needs to receive is called proton therapy and radiation and is only available in Prague, Czech Republic. This treatment will cost an additional CAD$12,000.

As we can all imagine, dealing with a serious illness in the family can take an emotional, physical, and financial toll. Mario and his family deserve to focus on his recovery without the added stress of financial burden. This is where we can all make a difference.

I have created this fundraising page to gather donations for Mario and his family. Every little bit counts and will help ease the financial strain they are currently facing.
