Help Marisol Pineda's Family

Hi Everyone,

 

For those who don't know me, My name is Nubia Pineda. Marisol is my sister-in-law whom I've known for over 20 years now. I am setting up this GoFundMe page on her behalf. I would like to share the turn of events that have led us here for those who haven't heard and I will share recent updates as well.

 

On Friday May 27th shortly after 11 PM Marisol was returning home from Hollister, Ca on Highway 25 and Wright when she was struck by a Drunk Driver. Marisol was left in a critical condition upon impact and was immediately air lifted to Regional Medical Center in San Jose, Ca. She was placed in the ICU to receive the medical attention required for her life threatening injuries. The following morning, her family was finally notified of what had occured and reported that Marisol was still fighting for her life. She received an outpour of love and support from family and friends, some to which flew and drove long distance to be able to provide consolation & prayer in hopes of her recovery.

 

Marisol was hit by Javier Angel Bustillos Jr, a 19 year old who is a second time offender of DUI. He was allowed to bail bond immediately after despite there being an open investigation. This has been incredibly painful to find out. Last night on June 2nd, despite all efforts Marisol's caring Doctors informed the family that the head trauma she sustained proved to be too severe to overcome. Her Doctor's declared her brain dead and so with a heavy heart we share Marisol has passed away.

 

Marisol was a person who absolutely loved life, she treasured her two brothers, parents and friends, she lived in constant gratitude. She was adventurous, caring and loved being active, cooking and baking. She is a beloved daughter, sister, cousin, auntie and great friend. She was loved by everyone who knew her, she was that person.

 

Marisol was in the ICU for 7 days, her medical bill have accumulated substantially and now funeral cost have skyrocketed anything we could possibly afford. We are humbly asking for donations so that Marisol's Family can mourn their daughter and the person she was for so many. Our lives have forever changed and will continue to be impacted in so many ways, as we move forwards honoring Marisol we thank you for your considerations, compassion and generosity.
