Help Mark and Kim get started in a new home after the Fire

My name is Amy Hadjian, and along with my sister Lori Planas, we've decided to do this GoFundMe for my brother and his wife Kim, who have just lost their Cincinnati home to a fire.

Mark didn't have a lot of resources in the last few years, except for his home which was his everything. He used the space in creative ways and loved his collections. His shop on the lower level was a place to tinker and imagine. Kim is industrious, works in the kitchen at a restaurant, and volunteers at the local food pantry. Without a mortgage, their lifestyle was fiscally minimal. But also due to this, there was no requirement to have insurance. When you're low in resources, things like this seem like a luxury.

I'm hoping to gather support from the multitudes of good folks out there that are able and willing to donate any small amount to the task of helping them get a roof over their head. He's using the Red Cross assistance funds to put some things into storage before the house is torn down, and staying with a neighbor temporarily. We're trying to find new homes for the cats (sadly, one was lost in the fire). Mia, their daughter, is staying with me in Baltimore.

Furnishings will also be needed eventually.

We hope that this life-altering event will mark the end of one era and the beginning of a new one for Mark and Kim.

I will receive the funds and distribute them as needed for deposits, rent, furnishings.
