Those of you who know and love Mark and Laurie Weston will want to be aware of a critical need in their lives right now. This fundraiser is for Laurie Weston, who, while reluctant to participate in a fundraising campaign, was encouraged by her friends to do so.
Laurie has a very severe and debilitating spinal problem - Anterolisthesis of L5 on S1 and severe right Foraminal Stenosis with impingement on the existing right L5 nerve. The only option for her is ALIF spine surgery. Their challenge is that they have not had health insurance for some time now due to Laurie’s inability to work and that Mark is only working part-time. The total cost of the surgery will be around $70,000.
Laurie serves as a volunteer at Lake Pointe Church, White Rock Campus.
She is highly involved with a Pomeranian rescue organization called Recycled Pomeranians, where Laurie and Mark currently have 12 dogs that they are taking care of in their home.
Her back condition is preventing her from fully participating in these interests and other aspects of her life.
