Help Mark and Sara

Help Mark, Sara, Fiona, Lucas, Bea, Shadow and Roxie-Bon-Bon recover from the devastating Eaton Fire.

This week the Mark and family were forced to evacuate from their Altadena home due to the Eaton Fire. Thankfully, they are safe and are currently staying in a hotel, while their beloved dogs Shadow and Roxie, are staying with grandpa. Because of safety concerns, they can't get back into their neighborhood to assess any and all damage to their property. They have been told by neighbors that their house is still standing, but know that for sure they have lost their garage and back house, where Sara’s mom Bea lived.

My name is Sami and Mark is one of my coworkers and dearest friends. To know Mark is to love him, and anyone who knows this wonderful family loves them. Mark has been an educator for much of his adult life and is loved so much by all of his students and colleagues. He is also an avid woodworker, and has now lost all his tools and materials. Sara is an opera singer and teaches music to elementary school children. Their two kids, and mom are equally giving with their time and energy to the communities they have called home. Now is the time for those who cherish them to come together to help.

This fundraiser aims to help this family get back on their feet with things that won't be covered by FEMA/insurance, and as they navigate their next steps to recover from this unimaginable loss.
