Help Mark Davis recover from his liver transplant
Hi my name is Alanna. I am a friend of Mark and Natasha Davis from Abbotsford, BC! Mark and Natasha are parents to their beautiful young children Cole 5 and Claire 3.
I have started this Go Fund Me in order to help Mark and Natasha purchase a new vehicle as their family vehicle broke down last week and is unrepairable.
As some of you may already know Mark has been sick with liver disease for many years. In the past year Mark has gone septic many times and his health has deteriorated significantly as a result. Mark has spent much of the past year in and out of hospital and away from his family. More recently, Mark has been forced to stop working in order to focus on his health. A few months ago he was placed on the transplant list for a new liver. Although they would never ask for help, I can’t imagine the financial burden this may have caused.
Mark is the breadwinner of the family, while Natasha has been a stay at home mom to her young children as Mark has suffered from extreme fatigue and illness.
Mark is an amazing person and friend. He is always kind , he is generous, and always helping others himself.
On Tuesday August 3, 2021 Mark got the call that they had a match and he would be getting his new liver!!!! As awesome as this news was and is, Mark and Natasha were left scrambling for a vehicle. Luckily a family member stepped up and lent them a car so they could get into Vancouver where Mark would receive his new liver.
Mark received his new liver on Thursday August 5, 2021 and the transplant was a success. Mark will be in hospital for the next 9-10 days and after that will need to go into Vancouver 3 times a week for an undetermined amount of time. He is facing a long road to recovery.
Mark and Natasha currently do not have a vehicle to make these trips let alone day to day needs such as grocery shopping etc.
I am asking for $20,000 in order to cover the cost of a reliable family vehicle and to cover some of the expenses their family with incur over the next few months to year as Mark recovers.
Any little amount would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your consideration.
