Help Mark Regain His Vision

Meet my stepdad, Mark. He has been battling glaucoma, cataracts, and degenerative eye disease for years. Unfortunately, his condition has worsened despite ongoing treatment. Last year, he was forced to medically retire after being declared legally blind.

Mark now has only a small field of vision in one eye, while the other is completely blind. To prevent total vision loss, he urgently needs cataract surgery. However, the cost of medical care has placed a significant financial strain on our family. Over the past few years, my parents have been burdened with overwhelming medical debt. My mom has been working two jobs to keep up, but they are struggling to stay afloat.

Mark is one of the kindest people you’ll ever meet. He dedicated his career to working with adults with developmental disabilities, making a meaningful impact in their lives. He has always been someone who helps others without expecting anything in return. Now, it’s our turn to help him.

This surgery will give him the chance to see his granddaughter, Joey, grow up. Any contribution, big or small, will make a difference. I have chosen to keep this fundraiser a surprise from my parents, as I know they would be too proud to ask for help themselves.
