If you've spent anytime at surf breaks between HB and North County chances are you've encountered Mark on the beach, in the water or in the parking lot at his van. He's been surfing adaptively for the last 13 years and is very active in getting people of all disabilities in the water. Mark was also a huge part of the early competitive adaptive surf community, single handedly getting us first time ever heats in many well known Southern California Coalition surf contests.
Last week Mark's van caught fire, completely burning to the ground. Along with the van Mark lost most of his belongings. Many of the items were irreplaceable. I'm asking for your help to get Mark back some of the customized, adaptive items that he will not be able to replace on his own: an Infinity Waveski, paddle, wetsuits, trailer, lift for van and handbike.
Mark is a very selfless person and is always willing to share with others. This is one of his stronger defining characteristics. Please help in whatever way you can to get Mark back in the water.
