April 7th, on his birthday, X-ray & CT scans found multiple masses on my dad’s lungs & adrenal gland. Then, on April 28th, he was diagnosed with stage 4 adenocarcinoma cancer that has matasticized and we’re still finding out how far its spread.
He began having trouble breathing back in December and as its progressively gotten worse, he’s found it harder to breathe. On top of that, he’s in a lot of a pain, which is unbelievably difficult to watch.
Any news like this is devastating. To be told by doctors that your dad, your husband, your brother, your grandpa has a lower probability of living a long, joyful life is terrifying.
The amount of lives my father has impacted can’t be counted. From our enormous family to the congregation members of the church he leads worship for, to the countless people who crossed his path. My dad has never known a stranger. Only new friends.
Currently, my dad is facing a mountain of pending expenses and after recently starting his business, he will need to take time off for treatments, appointments, and more.
The physical, emotional, and financial burden of this diagnosis is heavy – which is why I set up this fundraiser. To help as much as possible with the financial burden as my dad beats cancer.
As Christians, we believe in a mighty God who is capable & more knowing than any doctor. So while news of this cancer is a reality, we are believing for a miracle. Any contribution you make will go directly to covering costs of treatments, medications, services, and whatever else lies ahead.
Your donation will allow him to focus on his health & wellbeing without the financial impact of the diagnosis.
Any amount helps. If you can’t contribute, pray or send uplifting words. Ask for healing, peace, and strength as our family and my dad embark on the scariest journey of our lives – beating cancer.
