Help Mark Huntley with medical bills & care

Mark competed in a SCA comp on New Years Eve. Awards finished about 3am & we headed the 7 miles home for Mark to cook breakfast for our friends from the comp that were staying with us. At 410am while we were dishing up food Mark called from outside that he needed help. He had went outside to get his trophy from the truck, when stepping down our deck stairs he stepped wrong & broke his ankle. The guys all carried him inside & the women put a splint on it for Amy to get him to the hospital. X-rays showed a broken Fibula & needed surgery. They got an open OR at 1130am & took him in for surgery. Doctor called about 1pm that everything went well & they were just waiting for him to come out of recovery but he needed to stay overnight.

Mark will be unable to work & run his business for at least 9 to 12 weeks. We have a long road ahead of us as Mark pays the majority of the bills for our household. All.of this with no health insurance & now no income for the 9-12 weeks. The minimum for the the surgery & hospital stay will be approximately $30,000. We are looking into all areas to see what kind of help we are eligible.
