Help Marmaduke Get the Heart Care He Needs!

I rescued Marmaduke nearly 9 years ago, and he’s been the best dog anyone could ask for. Right now, we’re facing many challenging health issues.

A few weeks ago, Marmaduke stopped eating and drinking. After various tests and check-ups, he was diagnosed with a stomach infection and a bad bout of pancreatitis. After a round of antibiotics, we thought he was in the clear.

A week later, Marmaduke peed blood. After another check-up, urinalysis, and urine culture, we found out that Duke did not have a bladder infection and needed further testing.

Today, he got an x-ray to look for bladder stones. Within 10 minutes of being sedated in the x-ray room, the vet rushed us back to let us know that he had no bladder stones. However, he did have a moderate to severe heart murmur. They ended up doing x-rays of his heart and found out it was quite enlarged.

The vet and I decided the best course of action was to have Duke see a specialist and receive more testing. As of right now, if he can get treated quickly, the vet believes that he can recover with some medications.

I am asking for help with some of the quoted fees from the specialist so Duke can get his heart checked out and put on the right medication.

I sincerely appreciate your support. I wouldn’t ask if we weren’t already thousands of dollars deep in vet bills within a very short period of time. Any contribution will make a huge difference in getting Marmaduke the care he needs moving forward.
