Help Martha Gonzalez-White Return to Normal After Fire

Hello, I'm Lupe Carrasco Cardona, an educator at Roybal Learning Center.
It is with a heavy heart that we share this devastating news about one of the most beloved members of our school community, academic counselor Ms. Martha Gonzalez-White, who has dedicated her life to supporting our students and their families in LAUSD with compassion and unwavering care, recently lost her home and all her belongings in the Pasadena wildfires.
This tragedy comes just a year after she endured the loss of her husband—a heartbreaking reminder of the resilience she has shown through life’s most challenging moments. Now, it’s our turn to come together and show her the love and support she has so selflessly given to so many.
We have created this GoFundMe to help her and her daughter, Emily, rebuild their life. Every contribution, big or small, will make a difference in providing her with the resources and stability she needs to move forward.
Ms. Gonzalez-White is truly the heart of our school—a beautiful soul who has always gone above and beyond for our students, staff, and community. Let’s come together to lift her up in this time of unimaginable loss.
She has nothing left except for the two most precious things, her life and her daughter. We want to help them get situated in a rental (including the furnishings and clothing, etc. items needed for normal day to day life) until they figure out if their home will be rebuilt.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity. Together, we can show them that they are not alone and that their community stands with her.
With gratitude,
