I stand at the crossroads of opportunity and transformation, bracing myself to embark on a journey that promises to redefine my craft in unimaginable ways. My name is Martins Deep, and I have been offered admission to pursue an MFA in Creative Writing in the fall, at The University of Memphis. This invitation is an extension of its hand, and right here is me taking it to walk the path the universe calls me to tread.

I was drawn to The University of Memphis' commitment to its diverse and inclusive literary community. The prospect of immersing myself in an environment teeming with voices and their gift of touch to shape my craft fills me with unparalleled joy. Under the mentorship of the amazing Emily Skaja and Marcus Wicker, I see an opportunity to refine my craft to better bear its burden.

However, I cannot embark on this journey alone. Relocation expenses looming ahead, presents a formidable barrier to this dream. I humbly seek your support to cover essential costs such as SEVIS and visa fees, rent and security deposits, travel expenses, and initial living expenses.
