Help Mary & Dave Restore Their Life After the Fire
Donation protected
Hi all, my name is Maxwell Rowe. I was born a “safety pin,” growing up as the child of a “stickpin-ner.” That might not mean much to everyone, but what I can tell you is that the bond within the “stickpin crew” is as tight as family.
On 1/8/25, the Eaton Fire in Altadena tragically claimed the home of Mary Donnelly-Crocker and Dave Crocker—a home they lovingly built and nurtured for nearly 40 years. This home was not just a house; it was a haven where they raised their three children, welcomed their great-nephew, and created a lifetime of memories.
Mary and Dave have dedicated their lives to serving the community. Mary spent nearly 30 years as the Executive Director of Young & Healthy, tirelessly advocating for the well-being of children and families in the Altadena, Pasadena, and Los Angeles areas. Dave, recently diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia, dedicated his career to supporting youth as a principal at Hathaway-Sycamores and other schools. Their selflessness and unwavering commitment to others have made an immeasurable impact on countless lives.
This fire has left their family devastated. Along with the main house, their daughter Katherine, her husband Raul, and their 20-month-old Ellie lost everything in the backhouse they called home. The fire destroyed cherished belongings, personal mementos, and essential items—all irreplaceable.
Now, we have an opportunity to come together and support Mary, Dave, and their family as they face the immense challenge of starting over.
Mary and Dave have always been the first to lend a helping hand to those in need. Now it’s our turn to give back to this incredible family who has given so much to others.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your love, support, and generosity during this challenging time.
