Help Mary Rogers Gallagher Beat Cancer

Our friend Mary Gallagher was diagnosed with stomach cancer on October 1, 2020, which is a relatively rare form of cancer.  She was diagnosed just weeks after her mother passed away.  Mary had been feeling sick for quite some time but had thought it was caused from the stress of her mothers illness.  She suffered for months before doctors at St. Joseph's hospital in Tampa performed surgery and made the diagnosis.

Mary receives Chemotherapy treatment every other week.  She has a port which allows her to go home after her day of treatment at St. Joseph and then must return 2 days later to have the Chemotherapy unhooked.   She sometimes will have to make the trip up on another day to get her blood drawn and have other tests done.  She has often been low on potassium due to the Chemotherapy treatments and then must have medications administered to help with the deficiency.

Because of the frequency of the Chemotherapy and the symptoms caused by her treatments, Mary has been unable to work.  

Her husband Dave and her children Brennan, Emmie and Jack have been by her side through it all, serving as an inspiration of strength and love.  Dave drives her to Tampa for her numerous treatments .  Sometimes they need to spend the night at a hotel in Tampa when they have an appointment that goes too late or is too early to make the drive. 

Those who love and care about the Gallagher's often have asked how they can help and support the family.  Though the Gallaghers would never ask for help, your generosity will assist with Mary's personalized care at St. Joseph's hospital, medical bills and other expenses related to the situation.
