Help Mary kick cancer’s ass!

Mary Kumalaki is a mother of three children Irene, Jovan and MaryAnn. A grandmother to Afiyah and Abdul Jr. A sister, aunty, friend and is a second mom to myself and many others. A pillar of strength in the Ugandan community and a ray of light to anyone she crosses paths with. She was recently diagnosed with advanced stage Ovarian cancer three weeks ago. Due to the aggression of the cancer, she has since been hospitalized for complications, suffering from blood clots that have caused her to have a stroke. She is scheduled to receive 12 weeks of chemotherapy, followed by surgery and another 6 rounds of chemo. As you may know, working is not an option as she deals with the complications and undergoes treatment of her cancer. She has a long and tough road ahead but with some relief of financial burdens she can focus on getting better and being cancer free! On behalf of her children we are asking the community she has touched to rally together and help her embark on this journey. Any funds raised will go towards living expenses upcoming chemo treatment  and uninsured medical costs. Irene, Nana and Kise thank you all for supporting their family during this unforeseen event.
