Help Mary Keep Her Living Care Plan
Donation protected
Hi! Meet Mary McKim, my 90 year old mother who lives in a private assisted living home in AZ. She is well cared for by a wonderful care team. For ten years now Mary has received care 24 hours a day due to advanced dementia with associated mental illness. With the help of my deceased father’s social security and Veteran’s Affairs benefits, she has been able to cover her assisted living and medical care costs until April 2021. At that time the VA cut her benefits off leaving her just over $1000 short per month to pay for her care needs. All of her savings has long been exhausted . I reached out to our Congressman for help. With his office’s intervention, my mother’s benefits may (or may not) be restored later this summer, 2022. In the meantime, Mom will loose her care, if she cannot meet the extra $1000 per month that she is short on. Can you help her for these next six months? I have never done a fundraiser like this, but I am reaching out here now. It has been a struggle and I do not want my mother’s care to decline because of this. My husband and I have been assisting her as much as we are able to, but it isn’t enough. To date Mary is way behind in paying for her pharmacy bills and will soon be at risk of loosing her prescription medication if full payment isn’t received soon. I hope you can find a way to help Mary. Thank you kindly for your consideration.
With Much Gratitude,
Lisa
