Join Me in my project: Traveling to End Hunger: An Artist's Mission with Impact

✨ **Uniting to End Hunger—One Brushstroke at a Time**

Hunger is one of the most pressing issues of our time, affecting millions of lives across the globe. That’s why I’m honored to partner with Mission Zero Hunger, in association with United Way, a groundbreaking initiative committed to providing free meals to 3 billion people.

This mission is about more than just food—it’s about hope, compassion, and the power of uniting to create lasting change. Mission Zero Hunger brings together innovators, advocates, and dreamers to combat hunger through Art With A Cause, on a massive scale. Now, I have been given an opportunity to use my art to contribute to this extraordinary cause—and I'm hoping you will be part of it.

A Unique Opportunity to Make an Impact

I have been invited by AMOHA Galleria to participate in their prestigious Art Residency Retreat in India, a remarkable opportunity that blends artistic creation with advocacy. As part of this residency, I will create two large, museum-quality oil paintings (48x64”), each estimated to auction for $29,000, for a total donation value of a projected $58,000.

These paintings will be auctioned at AMOHA Galleria’s flagship gallery in Delhi, with (per my request) 100% of the proceeds going directly to Mission Zero Hunger.

This isn’t just about raising funds—it’s about raising awareness and inspiring action to help end hunger worldwide. Amoha Galleria’s founder, Vinay Rai, has generously offered to fully fund a 10-day artist residency in India to support this cause.

The Residency Experience

During this retreat, I have been invited to travel to some of India’s most inspiring locations, including:
- [Six Senses Fort Barwara](https://www.sixsenses.com/en/resorts/fort-barwara): A luxurious retreat in a restored 14th-century royal fort near the [Ranthambore Tiger Reserve](https://www.ranthamborenationalpark.com/).

- Zana Jim Corbett and Country Inn Bhimtal Resorts: Peaceful havens for artistic inspiration.

- Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur: Visits to cultural landmarks like the [Taj Mahal](https://www.tajmahal.gov.in/) and the stunning [Pink City of Jaipur](https://www.tourism.rajasthan.gov.in/jaipur.html).

The retreat includes all roundtrip airfare, accommodations, meals, and local transport—an astounding gift from AMOHA Galleria that allows me to focus entirely on creating art for this cause.

Why This Mission Matters to Me

This project is deeply personal. Having spent 14 years wrongfully incarcerated, I witnessed firsthand the devastating effects of systemic neglect and deprivation. During that time, I set a goal to help others.

This commitment began with my work alongside the ACLU, where I was a named plaintiff, along with 13 others, against the Arizona Department of Corrections for human rights violations, holding them accountable for multiple lives lost to depraved indifference. Now, I am channeling that same passion into my art, using it as a tool to advocate for change and uplift those in need.

How You Can Help

While the residency is fully funded, I need your help to bring this project to life.

Your contributions will support:

- Art Supplies: High-quality archival canvases, oil paints, and materials for creating the paintings. $2,500
- Living Expenses: Rent, food, and utilities during the three months I dedicate to this project. $3000 per month for 3 months = $9,000 total.
- Studio Costs: Ensuring, and stocking a space conducive to creating impactful, large-scale works of art. $3,500

Total Goal: $15,000

What Your Support Means:

Your generosity will help me turn this opportunity into action, creating art that inspires and raises crucial funds for Mission Zero Hunger.

In return, I will:

  • Share behind-the-scenes updates, videos, and photos documenting the journey.
  • Provide detailed accounting of all funds raised and spent.
  • Recognize your contribution with a personalized thank-you and optional acknowledgment in my project documentation.
  • Any donations over $1000 will receive a 11" x 14" original painting in the style of the pieces being auctioned for this charitable project.

Together, We Can Make a Difference

This project is more than art—it’s a call to action. By uniting through creativity and compassion, we can help Mission Zero Hunger bring meals, hope, and dignity to millions in need.
