Help Mats (15) live out his table tennis dream

Hi everyone!

This is Mats Waersegers. I am a Table Tennis player in the Netherlands and I'm 15 years old. I am ranked 7th at the moment and hope to reach top-5 under 17 years old soon. I love training and playing competition and tournaments. My goal is to become one of the best Dutch players and get into the national team so I can represent The Netherlands. I would love to play the European (youth) championship.

I started playing table tennis when I was ten years old. I enjoyed it so much I always wanted to play more.

Then covid-19 came and made it very hard to play, but I did as much as I could to stay in shape.

When it was possible to play again I started playing almost everyday. That took me from the 20th to the 7th place in the Dutch ranking under 17 years old in a couple of months. But I want to become much better.

To get better and improve myself I have to practise more, during individual training and training camps. I also need to play more international tournaments. Training and travelling for tournaments costs a lot. I would have to pay for the costs myself since the Dutch table tennis federation does not fund this. My initial goal is to raise €6.000 to be able to support my dream for the next year.
