Help Matt and Frank

Update on Matt's situation. We need your help please. Frank has provided an update:

Matt is still struggling to eat, some days barely having a bite at all. As a result, he's still getting his nutrients through the tube feed. He continues to wait for surgery for his hernia, which is exacerbating the issue, and is dealing with pain. He's spending most of the day and night in bed. Matt's appeal for disability has not been approved yet, so our finances are draining. We had a couple of big bills recently, and it's really difficult to stay on top of that. We were both really hoping the appeal would have gone through by now, and hate to ask for more help. The stress due to Matt's continuing poor health is bad, and the financial strain on top of it makes it hard to bear. I continue to need to be Matt's fulltime caregiver which is impacting our ability to bring in income.

My name is Chandler and my friends Frank and Matt need help. Matt Ellis was forced to stop his work at Parkway House, a home for adults with physical disabilities because of a diagnosis of an aggressive cancer. . He had worked here for 25 years going above and beyond to help the residents , working on his own time to make gadgets to make their life easier. Now Matt needs help. Matt had surgery for an esophagectomy in January . The day after he came home from hospital in Montreal, he had to be rushed back because a leak in the surgery site. It caused stomach acid to enter his chest cavity burning his lungs. After emergency surgery , he was in ICU for 10 days. 7 of those in toxic shock. He came home a month later. Matt has suffered severe nausea since the surgery and is eating less and less as a result. He is 1/2 his regular weight and spending 22 hrs a day in bed. Frank his partner has been trying to get him medical intervention for weeks with no results as of yet. ( including full days sitting in emerg.) Matt’s employment insurance ran out weeks ago adding in severe financial strain. Franks makes a meagre living as an artist while needing to stay home to look after Matt. There simply isn’t enough money to make ends meet. Friends have been offering to make a go fund me campaign for months , which they have declined until now: They need your help. Thank you .
