Help Matt and Lauren Overcome Medical Crisis

9/17 Update: Lauren was moved from MUSC to a nearby rehabilitation center. She is doing well and participating in therapies multiple times per day. She will be celebrating her 40th birthday on Wednesday the 18th. After rehab, she will be coming home. To prepare for her arrival home Matt is trying to renovate the downstairs bathroom into handicap accessible wet room to include a shower, sink, and handicap toilet. He is also working on renovations to the screen porch to turn it into a bedroom for Lauren. We appreciate all of your prayers and support.

7/1 Update: Lauren left MUSC and was transferred to a critical care hospital called Vibra where she is estimated to be for the next 4-6 weeks. They will help her get off the trach and have physical, occupational and speech therapy. This is the next step in her recovery and we are very proud of her! Please continue to pray because we definitely still need them.

On June 7, 2024, Lauren unexpectedly suffered a hemorrhagic stroke and underwent brain surgery. She is currently recovering from surgery under heavy sedation. Matt and Lauren have a long road ahead and appreciate all prayers and positive thoughts.
