Dear friends, family, and kind strangers,
I’m writing to ask for your support for our dear friend and Cape Abilities Farm family, Matt Clancy and his sister, Marissa Clancy, after the passing of their dear mother, Mary Lonergan. This loss has been devastating, as their mom was not just their parent but Matt’s caregiver and greatest support. She was the heart of their family, always there for them in every way.
Matt has been a valuable member of the Cape Abilities organization since 2013. Over the past 11 years, he has made a significant impact on the Cape Abilities Farm. While he’s capable of handling any task, he has truly found his passion in leading one of our tomato houses, cultivating the most delicious and beautiful fruit that we all enjoy.
Matt and Marissa are facing the heartbreaking reality of moving forward without her. On top of the emotional toll, they are now dealing with the heavy financial burden of cremation costs, a mortgage, and other unexpected expenses.
We’re coming together to raise funds to help them cover end of life expenses and give them a bit of relief as they navigate this incredibly hard time. Obituary:
Mary J. Lonergan, 61, of W. Yarmouth, formerly of Rockland, passed away on Sunday September 15, 2024, after a battle with cancer.
She was the daughter of the late George W. and Margaret A. Lonergan. She was predeceased by her brothers G. William Lonergan Jr. of Hanson, and Mark Lonergan of Long Beach.
Mary is survived by her two loving children, Matthew Clancy Jr. and Marissa Clancy.
