Help Matt Gantz and Family After House Fire
Donation protected
Hi!
Many of you in Wauseon know Matt Gantz as your friendly, local UPS driver. Recently, he relocated to a new house and had just completed a long process of transforming it into a comfortable home for his children (Zane, 17, Amelia, 11, Victoria & Marilyn, 8, and MJ, 4). If you don't know Matt, he is an extraordinary dad (always present, engaged, and involved - his kids are his world), an absolutely stellar friend, he is extremely hard-working, genuininely kind, and deeply generous... an all-around wonderful person.
On Monday, January 30th, Linfoot and Fulton Streets in Wauseon, Ohio were closed for over two hours because Matt's home caught on fire. As a result of an apparent electrical issue within the walls of the house, Matt is now without a home and most of the Gantz Tribe's belongings are damaged beyond repair (char, soot, smoke, and water damage). As you can imagine, this is a devastating blow for him.
I created this fundraiser to assist Matt with: immediate expenses (food, clothing, toiletries, travel costs, etc), expenses such as professional cleaning of salvagable items, replacement documents & associated fees, etc, and longer term unexpected rebuilding expenses (deposit, rent, new furnishings, clothing, kitchenware, appliances, toys, basic necessities, etc).
I can't undo what happened, but I can try to alleviate some stress for him - even in the smallest of ways. I'm confident that we can shine some hope on this family despite facing such an incredible loss.
Thank you for taking the time to read about my dear friend, and I'm truly grateful for any amount you are able to contribute.
