Help Matt Glover during his fight with Cancer

Donation protected
April 9th 2025 update:
It’s with great sadness that I share that Matt past away on April 3rd.
Here is a link to the Obituary.
The GoFundMe will stay open for a few more weeks for anyone wanting to support the family.

Allison and Matt were so humbled and thankful for the support shown on this go fund me when all this started. Thanks to everyone who donated, they were able to have a few months of not worrying about mortgages and bills while they sought treatments. You are all appreciated ♡

May 5th 2024 update:

I will leave the go fund me up for one more week if anyone else would like to help out ❤️
here is a msg from Matt:
“Hi folks, first of all we just want to thank Bianca for starting this go fund me account.
We want to say how grateful we are for all of your love and support during this difficult time.
I start chemo radiotherapy tomorrow and every day for the next 6 weeks. So I thought it might make sense to drop in with and share our many thanks.
I would love to thank each and every one of you, one at a time, but that’s just not possible so each and every one of you should take this as a direct one on one conversation, lol!
Anyway it’s hard to write anything that quite matches up to the generosity of these donations other than to say thank you so much to the school, our family and friends for everything you’ve done and continue to do to support Allison and I during this challenging time. It really makes me feel like the luckiest unlucky person alive!!

Love , Matt and Allison.”

April 13th 2024 Update:
We want to thank everyone for their wonderful help with this campaign! Allison and Matt are so grateful that there is such a beautiful community that is willing to reach out and help. Its just absolutely beautiful.
I just wanted to give everyone an update.
After the diagnosis, Matt went into his first brain surgery. He recovered well. After about 2 weeks, his headaches were back to being unbearable so this past week he had to go into emergency surgery to get a shunt placed. This will help alleviate any tension/pressure he is getting from the tumor.
He will be starting chemotherapy and radiation in the next coming weeks.
This has been a rough and emotional ride for this family and we are all here to do our best to help out in any way possible! That being said: anyone reading this, could you re-share this GoFundMe so we can get it circulating again? We were so close to reaching out first goal and I'm hoping to get it going to reach the 2nd goal.

Thank you all for your kindness and love

Original post:
On March 8th 2024, Matt and Allison Glover received grave news regarding Matts health. Matt has been diagnosed with a very aggressive brain cancer call Glioblastoma.

Matt recently graduated with BA and was in a temporary position at Charles P. Allen High School and Allison is employed as a Technician at Dalhousie University. They reside in Sackville/BeaverBank, NS. Both are now off work indefinitely.

As they focus on surgeries and caring for Matt, we would like to reach out to the community (especially those who have had the privilege to know these two lovely humans) and see if we can help reduce some of their financial burden. As we can all imagine, fighting cancer and being out of commission for a prolonged period can be very difficult.
