Help Matt Hall's Family Recover from Lightning Strike
Donation protected
Hi, in the late hours of July 6th, my son Matt Hall, his wife Christine, and their youngest son were woken up by a lightning strike to the tree right behind their home. Luckily, no one was hurt in the incident. Their four other children, fortunately, are gone for another month.
It has caused major problems to his electrical system in his home and he will be without power and water for an unknown period of time. The gas company has removed his meter as well. It broke all the windows on the back of his home and his garage. Luckily, the gas meter had plastic pipe and didn't blow. My grandson's room had two bookshelves mounted on the wall and they came down barely missing him as he was asleep in his bed.
They are running generators to the refrigerator and freezer that require lots of gas and oil. They will have to eat out or have food delivered until they have a working kitchen. They have rented a porta potty so they can stay at the house and save the expenses of a motel. The insurance adjuster will not be able to make it to their home until later this week and will not have information on coverage until next week.
Matt is trying to work his job and repair his home at the same time. He just got his home repaired from a windstorm that knocked a tree onto his back porch a month ago. Christine usually makes and sells Banana Bread to supplement the income but cannot use her kitchen at this time.
Please find it in your heart to help them out in this time of need.
