Help Matt kick colon cancers butt.

Hi my name is Danielle and I am starting this go fund me for a good friend/ coworker and her amazing fiancé, Matt. Matt was unexpectedly diagnosed in May 2022 with Stage 4 Colon Cancer that spread to his liver and lymph nodes. As a result of this he has been terminated from his employer, lost his health insurance, and exhausted his short term benefits. He has also been denied unemployment and long term disability which he recently reapplied for and is awaiting a decision. He was recently hospitalized with fluid in his stomach. He had a CT scan which showed a new tumor around the tube that connects his kidney to his bladder which resulted into have a stent inserted to open the tube so he doesn’t face kidney failure. He also had to have surgery to revise his stoma for his colostomy bag. On top of it all he will be starting his 14th round of chemotherapy in the upcoming weeks.

During which should be one of the happiest times of their lives, planning their wedding instead, they are planning his cancer treatments/chemo treatments. I would like to help lessen the burden because unfortunately, Kristie is the only income source that they have at the current time. That being said as much as Kristie would love to be there for Matt’s procedures, she can’t afford to take off work, so I’m hoping to at least raise enough money to provide them with a little cushion so that, if and when more surgeries and major appointments come up that Kristie won’t have to decide between working and being there to support her fiancé. It breaks my heart that she hast to miss being there for him because she hast to work and I don’t want her to look back and regret missing an appointment with him because they needed the money. In addition to the go fund me, Matt also has an Amazon wish list, which is constantly being updated with items needed for his medical care. Matt has, and continues to fight the good fight, no matter what the ugly word cancer tries to throw at him he tackles it with a smile on his face. And even when he’s sick, his main concern is his beautiful fiancé Kristie. These two truly are the perfect couple and I love them both dearly so any support you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
