Help Matt Move Forward After Eaton Fire Loss

My name is Eric Melanson, and I am raising funds for amazing friend Matt Baffert. The Eaton fire caused him and his partner to evacuate their home with their pets and the clothes on their back.

Matt does not like to take anything from anyone but is always giving for other people and his community in his own ways. For example, Matt and Erik Hillard went back to see the situation to find that Matts home burnt to the ground. This is heartbreaking for anyone but for him there was a task at hand.

Matt then went with Erik to his house and found the neighbors house on fire. Without hesitation Matt got to work selflessly trying to save his friends home, with SUCCESS!

Erik Hillard gave us a heartbreaking quote: "When I could barely pull anymore on a tree we cut, he pushed me on, Matt kept me going in total survival situation. He is our hero.

Not only did Matt save my home, he also saved the equipment for my small business that 4 employees depend upon. Because of Matt we all can move forward with our tools.

Matt is a founder of Lowelifes Respectable Citizens Club, a non profit trail building organization that focuses in the Angeles National Forest. So this hits extra hard as many trails and areas he would consider his second home are now gone for the time being. He has put in countless hours in the forest restoring trails for all users. If I knew the exact amount it would probably make your head spin.
