Help Matt teach in Dolpo, Nepal

Hello everyone! My name is Matthew Hogan. I was accepted as a Teaching Fellow at a school in Nepal called Crystal Mountain School. The school is in a remote region of the Himalayan mountains in the northwest of Nepal called Dolpo. It is funded by a non-profit created by alumni of the school, and both the non-profit and the school are run by locals of the area. The school provides housing for students and teaches, among other things, math, science, Nepali, English, and also teaches the local Dolpo dialect of Tibeaten and emphasizes the cultural history of the area. This is a super exciting opportunity for me to teach English as part of their program for 7 months.

As the school is a several day hike to the local airport Juphal, I would need to bring all the supplies on my person for the 7 month journey. As a type one diabetic, this requires extra planning and extra supplies. This can be quite costly considering the price of extra diabetes supplies like insulin, travel insurance, in addition to the flight costs to Kathmandu and what else is necessary for the trek and duration of my stay, such as a proper backpack to carry my extra supplies safely. I have set this gofundme up to help shoulder some of those costs.
