Help Matteo Overcome Kidney Disease

Meet Matteo! He was diagnosed with kidney disease less than a year ago. In July, Matteo went into the hospital to remove both of his kidneys due to complications with his blood pressure which was causing seizures. After nearly a month in a medically induced coma and 113 days in the hospital, Matteo's parents were finally able to bring him home.

Despite being home, Matteo has a long journey ahead. He receives dialysis 4 times per week until, like his two sisters before him, he receives a new kidney. Yes, you read that right...BOTH of his sisters had kidney transplants.

This GoFundMe page is to help raise money for Matteo and his family to offset the ongoing costs of medical bills, travel to and from the hospital (located in Boston), and medications that he will have to take for life.

Medical bills for his current stay in the hospital totaled over $1 million, most of which but certainly not all was covered by insurance. Matteo is battling and is looking forward to stabilizing so that he can get his transplant!
