Mathew needs our help!

Yesterday my 3 year old nephew, Mathew,  fell almost 3 stories from his bedroom window, landing in the basement window well and rocks below.  He was rushed to the local hospital who then Life Flighted him to Children's Hospital of Colorado.  He has a lacerated liver, partially collapsed lung, bruising on both lungs, and multiple body lacerations and bruising.  They have been able to avoid surgery so far but it is touch and go right now for sweet Matthew.  He is currently in the ICU and his family is devastated.  

Mathew is currently unable to breathe on his own without the oxygen.  His lung can't keep up.  Luckily he is young and the doctors hope that his lung and liver can heal without surgery.  The next several days are going to be crucial!  We do not know how long sweet Matthew will remain in the hospital.  Our hearts are shattered.

Rich and Laurel are awesome parents to 5 kids and have had setbacks due to covid with their business and getting health insurance.  They currently do not have health insurance.  They need all the help they can get with the mounting costs of the Life Flight, ICU stay, diagnostic imaging, meds, and other expenses.  

We will keep you updated here but please keep Mathew,  Rich, Laurel, and their family in your thoughts and prayers!!  Thank you for the outpouring of love and support they have received so far!
