Help Baby M Stay with only family he knows

 

• Hello everyone it's Ann, I wouldn't be doing this if it weren't absolutely necessary. I'm not one to ask for help, but as you all know little mister man came to stay with me(thru dcf) back in December of 2020. His brother was adopted by a very good friend of mine a few years back, she was called guesser but unable to take him,  she called me, without hesitation, I took baby M in.They are now bonded biological brothers and they know and love each other! This little guy as you all know has become part of my family ,one of MY children I COULDN'T LOVE HIM ANYMORE IF I HAD GIVEN BIRTH TO HIM, he has an extended family in the community that love him probably as much as we do. A biological uncle has recently come forward wanting to take him from his family the only family that he knows since he was seven weeks old and move him out of state. Understand this baby knows no one from that family absolutely no one, and 3 short months ago this same uncle said here had no intentions of attempting to remove him from my care.I am dealing with the Department of Children and Families which we all know has history preaching what's in the best interest of the child yet doing the complete opposite. That seems to be where this is headed. It will be a few more months but this little guy who we all know and love will undoubtedly be ripped from my family and brought to a place where he knows no one.,No bonds no familiar faces nothing. As you all can imagine this is tearing me apart as I know the reasons for his uncle's wanting him are not pure , his intentions are to reunite this baby with a mom home he was removed from even though she will be in prison for the next seven to 10 years. I get no financial assistance for taking care of this baby I have not for 7 months, I've done this out of the kindness of my heart and basically the State is using me as a glorified babysitter until they can rip him away. My only hope is to hire an attorney who can intervene on this babies behalf. I have over a thousand friends on Facebook literally $5 would help from each person..

11/2021_ Still maintaining the fight,  attorney doing all he can,  system still clueless, but I'm still fighting.  This baby deserves better than this chaos, but my reserve is dwindling.  Baby doesn't need Christmas gifts,  he needs to maintain his stability and have ppl continue to fight for him... and we will, but between attorney and therapist to testify,  you can imagine it's not without financial strain.
